Pros: Compact for easy storage on countertop.
Cons: Must fill for every cup.
In the morning who doesn't love a good cup of coffee, tea, or hot chocolate? However going to your local convenience store of coffee shop over time can become a bit expensive. One great alternative to this is to purchase a Keurig home brewer, and the B31 is a compact space saving option that will give you a great hot brewed beverage every morning.
First off the Keurig B31 comes in a wide variety of colors such as black, red, blue, and silver. This unit fits on many countertops, as it measures in at just over a foot high and less than a foot deep. One major difference is that there is NO tank on this unit, and you must fill this unit based on the serving size you want. This unit has a 6, 8 and 10 ounce option to fill. If you overfill there is an overflow on the bottom, just remember to empty this from time to time as i have come to find out.
Overall I will say that I love my Keurig, as it brews me a great cup of coffee in about two minutes. Keurig K-cups are a better value than going to my local coffee shop, and I can still have all the variety and flavors offered there as well. You can also get a special kit to use regular ground coffee, which is even more cost effective. Clean up unlike most coffeemakers is a breeze, as you remove your K-cup and you are done. I highly recommend doing a "descaling" once every few months depending on usage. This requires placing vinegar in the unit a couple of cycles, and then rinsing it with regular water a couple of times to remove all vinegar. This ensures that the piping inside stays clear, and you get a great cup of coffee.
I feel like the B31 Model is a good fit for those who have little space in the kitchen, however I feel like the full sized units are a little easier as they have a fill tank to easily brew more than one cup. Common problems of the B31 design are spills on the counter, and overflowing of the bottom overflow tray due to lack of emptying. I feel like this is a good "starter" Keurig model for these reasons, however I still love it and highly recommend it!
