Pros: Small size, easy-to-use, high-quality beverages, lots of variety, inexpensive, single servings
Cons: Noisy, cup sizes limited, extremely hot when first brewed, frequent users need storage for pods
I work in a hospital and love to drink coffee and tea. I'm not much of a soda drinker but do enjoy my hot beverages. Every mid-morning and mid-afternoon, I like to drink a cup of coffee or tea at work. We have a coffee shop at our hospital, as well as the cafeteria, but the prices range from $1 for a cup of generic coffee to over $4 for a premium brand from our coffee shop. I could bring tea bags from home, but finding the time during my busy work day to go to a break room or an available microwave is challenging. We aren't allowed to have personal microwaves in our office, but I do have room for a Keurig Mini on my desk. My family bought me one for Christmas, and I love it! I'm so happy I finally have a delicious and cheaper option for my daily beverages at work. The Kuerig Mini is easy to set up and use. The manufacturer recommends using filtered water, so as not to clog up the system with hard water deposits. I have chosen to use bottled water in my system, because I live/work in an area with extremely hard water. I love the variety of drink choices and the prices for the "pods" when purchased in bulk are much cheaper than spending $2-$8 daily at work at the cafeteria or coffee shop. The only 2 complaints I currently have about the Kuerig Mini are that the drinks come out EXTREMELY hot and need to wait to drink them until they cool off a bit, and when the drink is brewing, the machine is quite noisy. Overall, I really love the machine and due to the amount I plan to use it, I also got a small storage drawer for the beverage pods that the machine sits on.
